Welcome, I am Steph Myers and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist intern. My family and I relocated to Alabama four years ago. For the past twenty years my focus has been on working with children, couples, and families as a personal trainer, sports performance specialist and business owner. My passion is coming alongside people to see them become their healthiest selves both mentally and physically. Using a Solution Focused approach to support the strengths of each person, I enjoy encouraging others to take small, sustainable steps toward lasting, healthy changes.
Balancing the challenges of life can sometimes become overwhelming and it would be my honor to work with you. I believe people function at their best when they are seen, heard, and understood. A little encouragement and guidance go a long way. I firmly believe all people are capable as experts of their own lives and simply need an outside helping hand sometimes. The skills I emphasize are:
• Understanding healthy boundaries
• Establishing accountability
• Taking responsibility for one’s own actions
• Growing in self-awareness
I especially have a heart for helping those who have experienced trauma, PTSD, addiction, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, sexual dysfunction, divorce, separation, chronic physical impairment, depression, anxiety, children with disabilities, and women’s issues. It would be my pleasure to serve you with a welcoming, non-judgmental attitude to promote a therapeutic experience that brings healing and empowerment.
I currently work under the supervision of Changela Vickers, MA, LMFT
