Sarah Beth Thompson

Sarah Beth is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate and a north Alabama native. She believes that her job as a therapist is to meet each individual where they are in order to get them to where they want to be. She believes that each human seeks connection and therefore, that change is made through establishing supportive and healthy relationships. Communication and acceptance, as well as vulnerability and courage, are crucial to creating connection with one another and building relationships. Sarah Beth believes that the therapeutic join is vital for therapy to be successful and works to create a shared goal through an empathic understanding of each client’s experience. This is vital to assist each client in achieving the change they desire. Using systems theory, Sarah Beth integrates multiple models, including, but not limited to, structural family therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and experiential therapy, in an approach that best fits each individual. Sarah Beth uses mindfulness based therapy with clients as well.
