Judy Keller, MSW, LCSW - PIP
As a therapist Judy gives steadfast attention to communication, connections, and collaboration. She works with individuals, couples and families. Each person is viewed as a unique individual with concerns specific to their life experiences. She structures her holistic integrative approach accordingly. Drawing from her training in structural family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and a treatment modality called Rapid Trauma Resolution - her counseling process is focused, tailored, and goal oriented. She is well aware of the effects stress has on both the mind and the body and utilizes methods to address these effects. Her approach is aimed at bringing about positive change and healing to generate increased energy and peace of mind to each client.
Her broad based experience includes working with companies managers/employees in the Tidewater Virginia area, social worker in the foster care system in Virginia, co-coordinator of a rape crisis center in Maryland, and geriatric social worker and community mental health therapist in Alabama
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and her master’s degree from Norfolk State University in Virginia. She also completed a year-long post masters training program at the Family Therapy Practice Center in Washington, D.C. Most recently she was certified in Rapid Trauma Resolution Therapy (90 hours).
She is licensed by the State Board of Social Work in Alabama as a Clinical Social Worker and is also licensed to Practice in Private Practice Settings in Alabama. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
