Changela Vickers, LMFT, SAP
Mrs. Vickers has over fifteen years experience in treating adults and adolescent individuals and families affected by chemical addiction. Mrs. Vickers works voluntarily in her church with the counseling ministry and is a member of the Madison County Coalition for Healthy Marriages. Other special areas of experience include working with youth and adult sex offenders. She is a certified youth sex offender treatment provider through the department of Juvenile Justice, State of Georgia. She also has experience working with individuals with codependency, with dual diagnosis and counseling couples prior to marriage.
Mrs. Vickers believes in helping individuals and families to help themselves by encouraging openness in communication, restoring trust to self and others, and setting boundaries. Mrs. Vickers works to empower youth and adults to be more assertive and to work on healing the inner child by using the metaframeworks model and solution focused techniques.
Additional services include psycho-education, programming, consultation, training, psychosocial assessments and working in the area of grief and loss and conflict management. Mrs Vickers was recently awarded a federal broad purchase agreement to work with adult sex offenders in prevention of reoffending and promoting a lifestyle of recovery.
